Job Description

Reputable litigation law firm is seeking a Subrogation Specialist to manage a high volume of subrogation claims for health and welfare plan clients, primarily involving lien and reimbursement rights in workers' compensation cases. The specialist will organize, track, and support matters with recovery potential, managing litigation timelines, gathering information, and maintaining documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage subrogation matters, litigation deadlines, and case documentation.
  • Prepare document summaries to support attorneys in lien negotiations.
  • Investigate potential defenses and evaluate settlement options.
  • Draft analyses for Full and Fair reviews and appeals for attorney review.
  • Draft revisions to SPDs, plan documents, and trust agreements.
  • Draft and review benefit communications for ERISA compliance.
  • Review QDROs and comparative analyses; assist with vendor compliance.
  • Maintain documents within iManage.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and opposing counsel.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and data-reporting abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF tools, and document management systems.
  • Solid understanding of subrogation or claims-handling processes.
  • College degree or 3+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with insurance subrogation and workers' compensation matters.
  • CSRP (Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional) designation.
